Post Script - iKangooCamping

A little good news to conclude the progress of the i-Kangoo-Camping's adaptation:  on his first outing into the Brecon Beacons, I visited the especially helpful Renault dealer in Brecon for some advice re treating the sills or a quote if the only option was replacement.

The owner looked closely at the sill, advised that this would not lead to MOT failure and that it could be treated without having to spend a large amount on a replacement sill or extensive welding.  He then explained exactly how this could be done using a method employed on the garages' own Kangoo vans.

With luck, this involve no more than a few hours DIY and a cost of £40 and should add several years to the life of the van.

This a traditional 'old school' garage which is not out to rip off its customers but strives to build lasting relationships and customer loyalty.  It's one of the very few garages I would recommend and the one to which we will return when it's time to replace our 3 family Kangoos or have any major work undertaken on them.
